DualPhone 3088 for Skype

Awesome gadget for Skype users who cannot always be in front of their computers. The DualPhone 3088 makes it possible for one to make a Skype to Skype call or make calls to any landline or mobile phone. It is easy to set up and you can automatically transmit your contact list once you connect your transceiver and set up your handset with your Skype account.

At $150-170/per unit it maybe a bit pricey but considering the savings on long distances and international calls, it sort of pays for itself!

The Verizon Blackberry 8703e is very convenient to use. It has a complete keyboard, also known as QWERTY keyboard, which makes typing notes, emails, and reports a breeze. It is also easy to use when responding to instant messages and text messages. It also has a choice of 32 Polyphonic Ring tones, vibrate, with on-screen or LED indicator that you can easily configure. Each feature can have a different ound or ring tone so you can easily distinguish what is coming in whether it is a phone call, an email or a text or intant message.

You can view email attachments such as MS Office (word doc and excel), notepad, word pad. The track wheel on the right side is easy to use for navigation and scrolling down through emails. The phone service is clear and signal is strong. Our team has tested this while riding BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) in San Francisco, we never had any dropped calls, even when we wer in the tunnel.
The Verizon Blackberry 8703e has a long battery life. It gives around 198 minutes of straight talk time and 192 hours on standby. It is easy to recharge by using the charger that comes with it, whether through a power socket or hooked to your computer by using the USB data charging cable- you can synch up and charge battery at the same time.

There are a couple of things we do not like about the Verizon Blackberry 8703e the weight and the holster. The weight is 4.7OZ including battery; it is heavier than most cell phones and some PDAs. This becomes an issue for people who would need to use this at all times. Also, it comes with a hard case swivel holster. It is so tough to rush and take a call because it is not easy to remove from holster; this is an issue for female users. We had to purchase clip-on leather with magnetic flip cover for easy access.

Overall we still gave the Verizon Blackberry 8703e 4 1/2-stars, even with these two complaints that were mentioned above. It may not be a perfect 5 stars but it gets the job done and we love it for that! The Verizon Blackberry 8703e has a regular price of $349.99 (2-year contract required). At the time of this review, there is an online discount of $100.00 which brings the price down to $249.99.
